By accessing or using pdfson ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
pdfson provides online PDF processing tools including but not limited to merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and editing PDF documents. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
3. User Accounts
3.1 Anonymous Use
You may use the Service without creating an account. An anonymous session will be created automatically for your convenience.
3.2 Registered Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated tools to abuse the Service
- Upload files containing viruses or malware
- Circumvent usage limits or rate limiting
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
5. File Upload and Processing
5.1 Your Files
You retain all rights to the files you upload. By uploading files, you grant us a limited license to process them for the sole purpose of providing the Service.
5.2 File Deletion
All uploaded and processed files are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not retain copies of your files beyond this period.
5.3 File Size Limits
Free users are limited to files up to 50MB. Premium users may have higher limits depending on their subscription plan.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Results will be accurate or reliable
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDFSON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless pdfson, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
